Redmi has officially confirmed that the Turbo 4 will launch in China on Thursday, January 2. This makes it the first Xiaomi-brand smartphone to debut in 2025, which feels like a fitting way to start the year for the company to start the yearny.
Redmi also revealed that the Turbo 4 is now available for early reservations through Xiaomi’s official channels and will go on open sale the same day as the launch. Rumors suggest that this phone will be rebranded as the Poco X7 Pro for markets outside China, which is an interesting move for Xiaomi’s global strategy.
On its Weibo profile, Redmi shared images of the Turbo 4 in its “Lucky Cloud White” color. The design features flat sides with a slightly curved back and a red accent line running along the rear. The main camera on the back is confirmed to be a 50MP shooter, with the secondary expected to be an 8MP ultrawide.
Under the hood, the Redmi Turbo 4 will be the first phone to debut with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 chipset, which boasts an all-big-core CPU configuration. Leaked specs also point to a 6.67-inch LTPS OLED display (FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate), 12GB of RAM, a 6,550mAh battery, and 90W fast charging.
With these features, the Turbo 4 is shaping up to be an exciting release. I’m curious to see how it performs and how Xiaomi positions it in both its domestic and international markets.
